Shaoying Ma

Shaoying Ma is a doctoral candidate in Economics at the Graduate Center, City University of New York. She received her B.A. from Shandong University, China, in 2013, and her M.A. from Miami University, USA, in 2017. She is graduating in August 2020, and going to join Ohio State University Cancer Center as a postdoctoral fellow in the fall. Shaoying’s research fields are Health Economics, Labor Economics, and Applied Econometrics. In her doctoral dissertation, she studies paid sick time mandates in the U.S. and their impacts on private sector workers.
